Jonkershoek

Yesterday went to Jonkershoek to check out the course Rika made. Very very steep with a bonus of a nice 9m road gap! Scared the living daylights out of me!!! Very difficult course I should say.

Went to ride some downhill at Eden today. It went very well and at last I did the ski jump. Jacques had a terrible over handlebar fall at the road jump right at the top of Eden.

Stellenbosch MTB Challenge

I've ridden the Stellenbosch MTB Challenge today, and it was muddy. And if I say muddy, I mean MUDDY!!! It was an extremely technical and bike-breaking (literally) course and I have practically written off my Giant Boulder. Am thinking to buy myself a new bike, maybe All-Mountain. After the race (and the mud) I was mentally and physically exhausted and was even more after I heard that the the winner of the 60km route, Petrus Malherbe, rode a better time on his route than me on the 35km route!
